Lyon Magnetic Health Products sells both Gold and a Silver Series Mattress Pads. Both pads are made of the highest quality foam for long lasting durability and are covered first with a waterproof fabric and then a removable, washable cotton/poly quilted cover.

To compare to other companies we can look at our LYON Silver series mattress pad, which in many cases has the same size magnets that these competitors use. The first difference is that ours have 900 gauss magnets (surface gauss) and most of the others claim to have 750 gauss magnet in their pads.

The next notable difference is that for a pad to be truly effective it needs to complete a circuit throughout your body and not allow any south pole from the bottom of the magnet to come around and reach your body. To block this south pole the magnet spacing is extremely important. So, if spacing and magnetic content is too low then the south pole is wrapping around seeking the north pole and you end up with both poles entering your body which much expert research has now said is not good. Even other competitors have now begun to make their pads with north pole magnets facing the body. The problem is they have not considered the magnet spacing issues.
